Built by an acquirer who got tired of the spreadsheet.

Acquiror AI is made by Umplify Technologies Inc., a Canadian software company. It exists because the diligence package a lender and an investor expect should not depend on one person's workbook surviving the week.

Company

Acquiror AI is made by Umplify Technologies Inc., a Toronto software company that does AI transformation and cloud platform engineering for software-led businesses, ISVs and scale-ups across the Greater Toronto Area, the rest of Canada and the United States. Its engineers and architects average more than a decade of senior delivery experience on Microsoft’s cloud, .NET and its AI services, and have worked alongside the development teams of TC Media, RSA Insurance, GuestLogix, Munich Re and Manulife.

The way Umplify works for its clients is the way Acquiror AI is built. Production is the only success metric. Architecture comes before optimization. Sensitive data stays inside the customer’s own tenant. And every decision should be explainable to an engineer and to the board. Acquiror AI stores your data in Canada and ships continuously.

What we believe

  • Your acquisition is the point. Everything in Acquiror AI exists to take you from a signed LOI to a closed deal you understand: the Quality of Earnings, the valuation, the financing case and the memo, in one record, built once.
  • AI that does the work and shows it. Vera reads the data room, extracts the figures, answers your questions and drafts the memo, and every number carries its confidence and its source, so what you put in front of a lender or an investor holds up.
  • Built by an acquirer, for acquirers. We run the same diligence ourselves. The product is shaped by what a buyer needs the night before a lender call, not by a feature list.
  • No surprises. Prices are on the website, the security page says what we have and what we do not, and your deal data is stored in Canada.

Why this exists

Arash Sabet, founder of Umplify Technologies Inc.

Arash Sabet, Tech entrepreneur

I am Arash Sabet, a tech entrepreneur. I co-founded Proximitia, which shipped a Bluetooth access-point network for proximity marketing. In 2010 I started Umplify Technologies Inc. in Toronto. For two decades I have turned hard engineering problems into working cloud software, and more recently into AI solutions and transformation, for clients in finance, insurance, ERP, travel commerce, point of sale and venture capital. Umplify’s research has ranged from a distributed-data consistency layer to NLP and machine-learning systems for applicant screening, several of them recognized with SR&ED tax credits.

I measure the work by what reaches production, not by what looks good in a demo, and I stay close to the engineering myself. My focus today is agentic AI: software that does real work, reliably and under control, where a person can always see and approve what it did.

I am also a buyer. I look for small and mid-size Canadian companies with five or more years of steady cash flow, in manufacturing, distribution, business services, trades and tech-enabled services. What matters is the stability of the business on the day I buy it and its growth in the years after, backed by patient capital rather than a fund clock.

I ran my own diligence in spreadsheets, re-tying the valuation, the debt model and the add-back list every time one figure moved. Acquiror AI is the record I wanted then: each figure entered once, the Quality of Earnings locked before anything is built on it, and a memo that cites its evidence so a lender’s next question already has an answer on the page.

Maryam Haghighi, Entrepreneur

I am Maryam Haghighi, an entrepreneur who treats every venture as a plan with a finish line. Twenty years across banking management, property investment and tech startups, grounded in engineering, business and finance, taught me to read a business by its numbers first and its story second.

I oversee the financial side of Umplify Technologies Inc., and in an acquisition search I source and value the businesses we look at, from the first screen of a listing, through the conversations with the owner and the broker and the visit to the premises, to the numbers behind the asking price, re-cut the way a lender and an investor will read them: the real earnings, the working capital the business needs, and what it can carry in debt.

I am also an investor in my own right. Building and selling property portfolios as investments, with the analysis to back each decision, taught me to be deliberate: no manufactured urgency, and a recommendation only when the numbers carry it. A business we buy is held to the same standard: steady cash flow we can verify, a price the earnings support, and a plan for the years after closing rather than the day of it.

I work hands-on and in detail, and I expect the record of a deal to show every figure and where it came from. Acquiror AI is where that work now lives, one figure at a time.
