Screen every target the same way. Show the board why.
A corporate acquirer runs one thesis against many targets, and the board asks about the ones you passed on as often as the one you bought. Acquiror AI makes the screen repeatable, the valuation consistent, and the decision history exportable for the board book.

One thesis, many targets
Corporate development rarely evaluates one deal. It evaluates a category: every regional distributor in a territory, every software vendor that fits the product line. The thesis is set once. The risk is that each target gets screened slightly differently, by whoever had time that week, and the comparison the board sees is not like for like.
The board's questions come later, and they tend to be the same. Why this one? What did we pass on, and why? What multiple did we assume, and who decided to depart from it?
The board asks what you bought, what you passed on, and why.
Set the standard before the first target
An admin configures the standard once, and every deal inherits it.
- Write the questions down. Build a playbook for the industry: each question has a category and is marked required or optional. Mark it as the default and it loads for deals in that industry. Load it into Q&A to ask in sequence, or import it into Tasks to assign.
- Set the multiples. Valuation rules hold a multiple range per industry and earnings band, with optional adjustments for customer concentration, growth or decline, and owner dependency. They are read every time a deal is valued, so a change reaches every deal in that industry at its next calculation.
- Set the coverage floor. Financing thresholds define the Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) bands every structure is judged against, and the maximum loan-to-value the debt-capacity estimate respects.
- Let the deals run. A target that departs from the rules does so on its own Valuation tab, without changing the rule for any other deal, and the valuation audit log keeps its results, overrides and recalculations.
Sixty industry segments come seeded with valuation benchmarks, so the rules start from a reasoned default rather than a blank sheet.

- Each question has a category, an importance (Critical, Diagnostic or Informational) and a weight
- The default playbook loads for every deal in its industry
Comparing targets like for like
- One pipeline. Nine stages from Sourced to Closed Won or Closed Lost, with stage history, days in stage, stalled badges, tags and Priority Deals. Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) jumps to any deal by name.
- One view of the funnel. Pipeline Analytics shows active deals, total estimated value, EBITDA under evaluation and the funnel by stage, filtered by industry, stage or risk.
- One reading of the documents. Extraction puts a confidence score on every figure, and Q&A answers from each deal's own documents with numbered citations.
- One set of methods. Every target is valued by market comparables on Revenue, EBITDA, EBIT, Gross Profit or SDE, a discounted cash flow, and adjusted net assets, triangulated with weights and sensitivity bands.
- One meaning for a headline figure. Asking Price, Estimated Value, Confirmed EBITDA and Win Probability each carry a provenance chip, so a sourcing-grade estimate on one target is never compared as if it were a verified figure on another.
- One record of the counterparties. Brokers, sellers, advisors and bankers are contacts with an interaction timeline and multi-criteria ratings, and each can be associated with many deals.
Comparable sets are the ones you enter; Acquiror AI does not ship a transaction database.
The board book
Every decision is recorded as Go, No-Go, Conditional Go or Parked, with the stage, a confidence level, the author, a timestamp and the rationale. Nothing is edited after the fact. Stage milestones track the diligence gates and are marked passed as each analysis completes.
When the board meets, the record goes out three ways:
- Decision Export, PDF. The decision chain with the comparable valuation, the normalized statements and the qualifications the screens show beside each figure, readable without the app.
- Decision Export, Excel and JSON. The same chain as a workbook for your analysts, and as JSON with raw amounts beside the currency code for your own reporting.
- Investment memo, PDF. Up to 13 sections for the target you recommend, three drafted by AI from approved figures, with an evidence appendix behind the Quality of Earnings (QoE) adjustments.
Each Decision Export queues as a job, and the app emails you when it is ready.
Inputs to the integration plan
Diligence findings are the first draft of the integration plan. The modules that test the price also tell the integration team where to look.
- Working capital. The cash conversion cycle by period, the receivables aging and the selected peg show what the business needs to run on the day you own it.
- Revenue durability. Concentration by customer, contracts expiring within twelve months and gross and net retention show which relationships to protect first.
- QoE. Adjustments marked one-time, ongoing or run-rate separate what disappears at close from what you are buying.
Import the industry playbook into Tasks and its open questions become tasks to assign and date, so the work carries on after the decision.
Your assistants, and your security review
On Firm and Enterprise, your team can ask about the pipeline from Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity or Cursor through the MCP server: more than 60 tools and a 35-prompt M&A catalogue, signed in with the user's own identity and isolated the same way as the app. No MCP tool creates or edits a deal record. There is no public API.
For the security review:
- Sign-in runs on Microsoft Entra, and Acquiror AI never stores a password.
- Isolation. Each organization's data is isolated at the data-access layer.
- Location. Deal data is stored in Canada. Bring-your-own-key lets you use your own OpenAI or Anthropic agreement in place of the platform's. Platform AI runs in the United States today under terms that prohibit training on your prompts and outputs; where an individual request may be processed is set out on /security.
- Published. The data processing addendum, the subprocessor list, the retention schedule and a 99.5% monthly uptime commitment with service credits.
- SOC 2. There is no SOC 2 report yet; the security page sets out the controls in place today.
Objections, answered
"We need single sign-on and a security review."
Request the security overview from Contact and bring your identity requirements to it. Sign-in is through Microsoft Entra, and we answer each of your review's requirements against what the product supports today.
"Procurement wants a quote."
Prices are published, every plan bills monthly, and the annual option is a 12-month commitment billed monthly rather than up front. For Enterprise, talk to us.
"Our analysts model in Excel."
They still can. The Decision Export's workbook takes the figures out, and the admin data export takes every record out as JSON with the original documents.
"Board members will want to look themselves."
Give them the Auditor permission: view and export, never edit. Permissions apply across the whole workspace, so they see every target you hold.
FAQ
Is the valuation a certified valuation?
No. It is a calculation by three methods, consistent across targets, with every override logged. A fairness opinion or certified valuation, if the board needs one, still comes from outside.
How many targets can we hold at once?
Firm holds up to 100 deals at once and Enterprise up to 1,000. The limit counts the deals you hold, closed and lost ones included, until they are deleted, and it never resets.
Which plan, and why
| Plan | When it fits corporate development | Seats | Deals |
|---|---|---|---|
| Firm | A corporate development team with a defined thesis, and MCP access for the assistants the team already uses. | 12 | Up to 100 |
| Enterprise | Many targets held at once, a larger team, and no monthly ceiling on AI analyses. | 25 | Up to 1,000 |
Professional fits a team of up to five that does not need MCP. Compare plans on Pricing.
